12 June 2008 - 17:34The mystery of the undead wall clock.
I have this clock on my wall that ran out of batteries months ago. I’ve been too lazy to replace them, so the time has been stuck somewhere around 7:40. I’ve noticed this because it has sometimes fooled me in the morning before work, making me think I have more time than in actuality. So, the batteries have been dead for at least six months, but just now, I looked up and it’s tic-toc-ing away. It says 4:07, so I guess that would mean it has been running for over eight hours now. Where did these batteries get their second wind from? How long will it last? I didn’t replace them.. I’ll have to keep an eye on this weirdness.

That’s strange! We were just talking about that the other day about your clock needing batteries. It just started up again??? Crazy!

Awesome zombie wallclock! Soon it will be wandering around, eating the brains out of other mechanical/electrical items.
Hide your DS.

it’s 24 hours later and still working, popular theories as to why it may have started again are that the gears might have gotten stuck, and some vibration got them moving again.. or that there was some defect bubble in the batteries. i’m tempted to take it down to investigate and set the time, but i don’t want to jinx my free energy.

Help.
We have a WINDUP wall clock that was given to us from My wifes mother when she passed. Its one of 3 actually.
We dont have a key for it, and it has not run in years.
But one of the chime bars vibrates to the point it makes noise.
Anyone experienced this?
